As the newly appointed chairman of the North Texas chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, Gary Gene Olp, founder of eco-minded GGO Architects, is on of Dallas' biggest environmental advocates. And he practices what he preaches: He built his own home using energy efficient technologies, buys DART passes for all of his employees and uses recyclable coffee cups in the office. Olp visited with Saff Writer Jamie Siegle about his new role as NT-USGBC chairman and when he first became a part of the sustainability movement.
